3 Dimensional Cardboard Victorian Doll House
~In case you're wondering what a '3-Dimensional Carousel' is, it means this is not your average book… Untie the little ribbons keeping the pages together, open it up, fold the front and back all the way around (a normally forbidden activity when it comes to books) so they come together back-to-back, re-tie the ribbons, and you have… a fold-out, pop-up dolls house complete with eight rooms and even paper dolls to people them with. It's a lovely idea and sure to capture any small child's imagination (or any adult with fond memories of their childhood dolls house).
And it works too. You may have to encourage the various pieces to flatten out or pop-up to your satisfaction, and ideally four hands are needed to tie the ribbons tight, but then you'll see the great detail that's gone into the design - doorways between rooms are fully functioning, and cupboard doors even open to reveal their hidden contents. There's a grand piano, a hallways and stairs, bathroom, kitchen, bedroom, and plenty of space for small fingers to add in their own home-made furniture if they wish. A lot of detail has gone into the construction, ultimately this foldout 'book' dollhouse is much cheaper than a full sized wooden or plastic doll house - plus it folds away (carefully) at the end of the day if you need to make space on a shelf or table.
This beautifully illustrated carousel doll house has two stories and eight rooms. When you tie back the strings, the house stands on it's own, revealing exquisite decorative details and pop up furniture. Also included are stand alone dolls and a few accessories. This doll house is like an extra large book, so lays flat when not in use. Great for travel or easy storage. House overall in good condition. Accessories are stored in the closet of the house, so everything is contained.
