Children's hardcover book, "Dippers". The book is in good condition, other than slight stretching on edges of dust cover.
~In the city of Toronto archives, the fragments of a handwritten letter have been discovered. The author's name is Margaret, and in the letter she sets down her scraps of memory of the summer of the dippers; the summer of a heat wave long ago. The letter tells of her parent's worry that she might lose her job and of her little sister being overtaken by paralysis. And, of course, there were the dippers, doglike creatures with wings, moving up the river to inhabit the neighborhood. Yet another fact of life to become adjusted to.
