Eric Kincaid's Book Of Nursery Rhymes
Large hardcover Children's book, "Book of Nursery Rhymes", by Eric Kincaid. Book has scuffing/scratches/dent lines and marks on cover, as well as the corners of cover have been taped, the inside of book has pen scribble marks on first few pages and a few light page flip marks on a few pages. Sounds like this book has lots of issues, but it is overall still in good condition with lots of life left in it.
~Kincaid's illustrations are beautifully done. Kincaid expands on the stories contained in the rhymes with his own artistic interpretations, offering solutions to the riddles and sequels to some of the events, for those who take the time to look.
This book offers not only a visual treat, but a linguistic treat as well. On page after page it demonstrates the musicality of language in rhythm and rhyme -- the rhymes are made to be read aloud -- and the pure fun of words and stories.
